Gorilla Power Generator Servicing Guide
Why service your generator? Regular maintenance keeps your generator performing reliably, extends its lifespan, and prevents costly repairs. Servicing isn’t just about oil and filters — it ensures safe operation in all conditions and maximises output when you need it most.
Generators often work in challenging environments:
- Dusty building sites: check and clean air filters more frequently to prevent dust build-up.
- High humidity or wet conditions: inspect spark plugs and electrical connections to avoid corrosion.
- High altitude operation: engines may run leaner; check fuel mixtures and monitor performance.
- Extreme heat or cold: adjust oil viscosity and store fuel properly to prevent gumming or freezing.
- Heavy or continuous loads: more frequent oil and filter checks can reduce wear and keep output stable.
Following these tips ensures your generator delivers consistent power, no matter the location or challenge.
Special note for dual-fuel models (GP5500E-DF, GP6500E-DF, GP8300E-DF): LPG systems require regular inspection. Check hoses for leaks, ensure valves operate smoothly, and clean any deposits. Always drain LPG lines and run a brief petrol cycle if storing for long periods. Proper care maximises performance and reliability on both petrol and propane.
