Electric Start vs Pull Start Pressure Washers

Electric Start vs Pull Start Pressure Washers

A pull start machine will usually fire up fine. That isn't the issue. The real difference is the effort involved, repeated over and over through a working day.

It's About Effort, Not Reliability

Starting a petrol pressure washer by hand is physical work, and on a typical job you're doing it repeatedly:

  • Moving round a building
  • Refilling
  • Stopping for a break

Electric start just removes that effort. You turn a key.

Less Wear on You

Over a full day the starts add up, particularly for anyone who's been in the trade a while and feels it in their back and shoulder. It's the same job, done with less wear on you.

What About the Battery?

Self-charging as you work
Every electric start machine has its own battery and a small alternator that trickle charges it while the machine runs. No charging between jobs, and no extra kit in the van.

Only in very cold months might you want to put the battery on charge occasionally.

Which Machines Have It?

  • Gorilla range: electric start as standard.
  • Silverback range: electric start as standard, launching shortly.
