Tuya Smart app
Pair the heater with the Tuya Smart app on a compatible smartphone or device. Adjust the heat level and access power and timer controls from the app.
The heater’s Wi-Fi indicator flashes before connection and becomes steady once paired.

P1–P9 are the nine heating levels. The manual also identifies P0 as a control setting; it is not an additional heating level.

Installation essentials
The KMH-25R9 is designed for horizontal wall mounting, with the heater angled towards the area you want to warm. Install securely on a suitable mounting surface and follow the full supplied instructions.
- Do not mount vertically, suspend on chains or position the heater facing directly downwards. Never direct it upwards towards a ceiling.
- Keep clear of flammable materials and never cover the heater or use it to dry clothing.
- Do not install directly above or below a power socket, or use near bathrooms, showers or swimming pools.
- Use a correctly rated, outdoor-approved power connection where required. The manual strongly recommends RCD protection and advises avoiding extension leads where possible.
- Do not leave the heater unattended while in use. Switch off, unplug and allow it to cool before cleaning or maintenance.

Which app does the KMH-25R9 use?
The manual specifies the Tuya Smart app. Open the app, enter your local Wi-Fi details and follow the pairing instructions. Once connected, you can adjust heat levels and access power and timer controls. A compatible device and Wi-Fi connection are required.
Can I use it without the app?
Yes. The supplied remote and the heater’s touch controls let you adjust the main functions without using the app.
Does low glare mean there is no visible light?
No. The golden tube is low glare, but still gives off a visible warm amber glow while heating.
How much electricity does it use?
At the maximum 2500W rating, continuous operation for one hour uses approximately 2.5kWh. Your cost depends on your electricity tariff. The nine heat levels let you reduce power consumption when full output is not needed.
Can it stay outside in all weather?
The housing is rated IP65, but the manual advises against extended exposure to outdoor weather. Follow the installation guidance and use a suitable electrical connection. Do not use near bathrooms, showers or swimming pools.
Is it suitable for pubs, restaurants or commercial use?
The supplied KMH-25R9 manual specifies domestic use only and states that it is not suitable for commercial or industrial applications. If you need a heater for a business premises, contact Castle Heaters for advice on a suitable model.
Can I mount it vertically or hang it from chains?
No. Use the specified horizontal wall-mounting arrangement, follow the required clearances and angle the heater towards the area being heated. Do not mount vertically, hang from chains or position it facing directly downwards.
What care does it need?
Unplug the heater and let it cool before inspection or cleaning. The manual recommends checking the reflector and heating element at least monthly, more frequently in dusty conditions. Follow its maintenance guidance and refer damage or repairs to a qualified technician.
