From building sites to exterior cleaning

Dave spent years in the building industry before switching to exterior cleaning. For the past seven years he’s run his own business covering soft washing, window cleaning and gutter cleaning. Most of his work is on industrial and commercial sites, with some domestic jobs as well.

That mix makes him the ideal tester. Industrial jobs are long, demanding and unforgiving on equipment. If a machine or pole has a weakness, Dave will find it.

Real-world testing

When a new product comes in, Dave puts it through the same work he does every day. He’s looking for the things that matter on the job: how the pole handles at full height, how the machine copes with compacted debris, and how everything stands up to daily use.

Why Dave chose Kevlar

Dave’s pole of choice is our Kevlar gutter pole, and safety is the reason. The bottom two sections are non-conductive, so the part in his hands won’t conduct electricity if the pole gets near an overhead cable.

In his experience, the Kevlar poles perform just like standard carbon poles and feel no heavier in use. For a professional working at height all day, that combination of safety and handling is what counts.

The same price as before

Kevlar poles cost us more to make than the carbon poles they replaced. We chose to keep the price the same anyway.

The reason is simple. We don’t want cost to be the reason anyone chooses a less safe pole. If the safer option costs the same, there’s no excuse not to buy it.
