What type of hose do I need for my Karcher pressure washer?

Nothing lasts forever and there will be a day when your Karcher Hose is no longer functional. But don’t worry because Equipmart has you covered for when that day arrives!

With so many different types of Karcher Hoses, sometimes it is difficult to know which one is compatible with your Karcher Machine. So, we have put together this guide to Karcher hoses to help you when choosing your new Karcher Hose!

K-series Karcher machines

One of the most popular and modern lines of Karcher machines are the K-Series model. Regularly used by many domestic users, there are many different types of Karcher K-Series machines and as a result, there are several different types of hoses. The main three are Karcher C-Clip Bayonet to M22 Female coupling (the oldest type), Karcher Click Bayonet to M22 Female and Karcher Click Bayonet to Click Bayonet (the newest type). This may seem confusing at first, but it is relatively easy to identify which type of Karcher Hose you have. Just look at the connections at the ends of the hose, the one to the inlet and the one to the trigger gun. It is also worth checking the user guide to see if the type of hose is stated in there.

The three previous Karcher hoses are compatible with domestic Karcher Machines. If you require a steel braided commercial quality hose for your Click Click K series machine, we may be able to help you, but again you will need to check the connections to your inlet and trigger gun.

The Karcher Click Bayonet – Click Bayonet HEAVY DUTY Rubber K Series Hose can withstand 2200psi and a maximum temperature of 60◦C.

Karcher 4040, 5050 or KB series

If you have an old Karcher 4040 or 5050 machine, you will need a different type of hose. If your Karcher machine is of the KB range, it may need the Karcher C-Clip Bayonet to M22 Female with the 90-degree connection.

Extending your hose

If you are seeking to extend your current Karcher hose rather than replacing it, this is also an option with the Karcher Click Bayonet Male to Click Bayonet Female K Series Extension Hose. You must however, have a K-Series Karcher Model with a Click Bayonet connection going to the inlet in order to use this extension hose. The male end clicks into your Karcher K-Series and then the male end of your current hose goes into the female connector of the Karcher extension hose.

NOTE: Please be aware that when connecting your brand new Karcher Hose or Karcher extension hose, you must ensure the rubber O-Rings on the connections are there and intact. Please also ensure that you push both ends of your brand new Karcher hose into the machine and trigger gun. Doing both these steps will help prevent any leaks and avoid causing you any inconvenience.

Commercial hoses

If you have a new type HD or HDS type Karcher Model, these type of Karcher machines have a unique hose called an Easy!Lock. This is a large female screw thread coupling that twists onto the connector with one large twist. The Easy!Lock Karcher connection is easy to identify as both ends are the same and are quite large. The Easy!Lock Karcher hose comes in various lengths, so be sure to choose the correct length for your needs.
